Destinations & Investment

A brief overview of my most commonly asked questions. For more details, please contact me

Destination sessions are available, with Travel Fees applicable for locations outside my local area. For larger investments such as Weddings, Events, and Brand & Commercial Photography, flexible payment schedules are offered.

FAQ

1. Do you do Newborn Photography?

Unfortunately, I do not do Newborn Photography. I say this with the utmost respect for new parents and for photographers who specialize in this field. As I am not a studio based photographer, and due to the unpredictability of newborn sessions, this is outside my scope of expertise. That said, I am more than happy to recommend trusted photographer friends who specialize in newborn photography.

2. Do you help with planning the session, such as locations and poses?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your ideas, and I’ll take care of the planning from there , including locations, posing guidance, and overall flow of the session. I also hold a qualification in Personal Colour Analysis, which can be added to your package. This is a client favourite, especially for important or milestone sessions, as it helps create a cohesive and flattering final result.

3. When will I receive my photos?

Delivery times depend on the package you choose, standard sessions are usually ready within 2–5 weeks, while Weddings may take up to 2 months, depending on the number of images selected. Additional image purchases may extend the delivery time. Editing is one of my specialties and what sets my work apart, I don’t mass produce photos, but carefully hand edit each image to ensure it’s worth every cent. Because this process takes time, I provide a sneak peek gallery within 48 hours of your session with up to 20 images, so you can enjoy a preview while you wait for the full collection.

4. Do you do make-up or provide smash cakes?

Yes, I can do make-up, but my main focus is always on the photography. To ensure the best results for both, I collaborate with two on call, qualified make-up artists that you can reach out to. As for smash cakes, I work with a very talented baker who can assist you with creating the perfect cake for your session

By confirming a booking, submitting payment, or accessing a digital gallery, you enter into a binding professional service agreement with Mr. Portrait Photography, owned and operated by Dillon Bezuidenhout and governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings, with the remaining balance payable prior to the commencement of services. Cancellations within five (5) days of a scheduled session result in forfeiture of the deposit, while cancellations outside this window may qualify for a partial refund. Rescheduling is accommodated subject to availability. Clients are expected to arrive on time, with delays exceeding 30 minutes incurring an operational late fee and potential session compression to maintain scheduling integrity.

All imagery produced remains the exclusive intellectual property of Mr. Portrait Photography. Clients are granted personal-use rights for sharing and printing, with appropriate credit, while RAW files, third-party edits, or AI alterations are strictly prohibited. Edited galleries are delivered within 2–5 weeks, subject to operational variables, and downloading a gallery constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. Professional conduct, privacy, and client dignity are upheld at all times; misconduct may result in immediate termination without refund. The Photographer is not liable for disruptions caused by force majeure events such as weather, load-shedding, or network failures, and liability is limited to the total amount paid for the session.
